PAL LTER Grid Converter
This web tool allows you to roughly convert latitude/longitude pairs to Palmer Station Grid line/station pairs, and vice versa.
Note, due to precision issues, the outputted values may be off by 0.01km.
Directions
- Paste Lat/Lon or Grid Line/Station pairs into the first box directly from your spreadsheet, or type in by hand.
- Each pair should be on a new line, with tabs, spaces, or commas separating the values
- South latitudes and West longitudes should be negative.
- Click Convert to convert the locations, and then copy the contents of the second box to paste into your spreadsheet. Or click Download after successfully converting the data to get records as CSV file.
