2023 PAL-LTER, SWARM, and Friends Workshop
Four years is a long time to wait, but last week, the waiting was over, as we held the first in-person PAL-LTER and Friends Science Workshop since 2019.
On Tuesday, the PI team met to discuss the latest field season and to prepare for the challenges of next one.
And then on Wednesday and Thursday, over 30 people gathered at the Hyatt Regency in downtown in New Brunswick, NJ, and many more joined us online, to share their latest research and stories. The days featured 28 talks, half of which were presented by grad students and post docs, covering the full range of research from Palmer Station and West Antarctic Peninsula.
Overall, the workshop was a great time to reconnect with friends, share some of the latest data results, and discuss some really cool science. Here’s hoping we don’t have to wait so long until the next team science workshop!
