Abstract - 
Climate variability is of central importance to long-term ecological
studies in general and to bioclimatology in particular.
As a consequence, the Palmer LTER has gathered historical 
meteorological data taken for Palmer Station as well as initiated the
quality control and archive of this data.  The following is a
preliminary report summarizing Palmer Station air temperature 
records from May 1974 to August 1996.
