TITLE: Palmer Long-Term Ecological Research (LTER): an Overview of the 1992-1993 Season AUTHOR: Langdon B Quetin, Robin M Ross, and K Baker Palmer LTER Contribution #14 ANJ 1993 V28(5) pg 205-208 During USAP 92-93 the Palmer LTER (as described in Ross and Quetin, 1992) staged three major research efforts: the nearshore sampling program in the spring and summer, the annual summer cruise on the RV Polar Duke (January 1 to February 7, 1993), and an austral fall process cruise on the RVIB Nathaniel B. Palmer (March 25 to May 15, 1993). The original five components (Ross and Quetin, 1992) were joined by a microbial loop component led by Dr. David Karl from the University of Hawaii during both research cruises.
